SKIING

Ski Racing is a tight community and, as a member of the United States Ski Team, Shelley had an impact on skiers and racers all over the United States.  But like everyone, Shelley started small and locally, at the Tyrol Basin family ski hill in Mount Horeb, WI, where today her favorite run has been named in her honor, Shelley’s Way.

Since its founding the Shelley Glover Foundation has been proud to be a part of ski racing in the Midwest region through participation in two memorial races – the USSA Shelley Glover Memorial Race at Marquette Mountain in Michigan and the WIJARA Shelley Glover Race at Tyrol Basin – and the award of numerous awards and scholarships to exceptional Midwest student ski racing athletes that display the qualities Shelley is remembered for.
